French Country Bread



Ingredients

300 gr water

1 pack of dry yeast

500 gr organic strong white flour

10 gr salt

Instructions

Place the water and yeast in the Thermomix bowl, Speed 2, 37°C, 2 minutes.

Add the flour and salt and knead for 3.5 minutes.

Transfer the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with cling film.

Let the it double in size (about 1H or more).

Punch it back down and make a ball of it.

Place it in a glass dish (Pyrex type) with a lid.

Place in a COLD oven.

Turn on the oven to 240°C and bake for 1H.

Take out of the oven and let it cool down on a rack.

 

The recipe can be done without a Thermomix.

You'll need to knead the dough for a couple of minutes before letting it rise.
