French Brioche (Sweet Bread)



Ingredients

175 gr flour

1 egg 30 gr sugar

1 tsp yeast

200ml fresh cream (or single cream)

1 egg yoke for glazing Pearl sugar for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place all the ingredients in the Thermomix bowl, Speed 3, 20 seconds.

Rub melted butter (or coconut oil) on a cake mould and place the dough in it. The dough will be very sticky, it's normal.

Brush the egg yoke on the dough and sprinkle pearl sugar.

Bake for 30 minutes. Bon appétit !

 

You can do this recipe without a Thermomix. Just place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.

If you don't want to use an egg yoke to glaze, use a little bit of milk. It'll work as well.

You can experiment with the recipe, add chocolate chips, raisins, cranberries to the dought for various flavours.
