Ingredients 120 gr milk 50 gr sugar (I used muscovado sugar) 20 gr soft butter 1 pack of yeast 320 gr strong white flour 1 pinch of salt 1 egg 100 gr white sugar A dash of milk
Instructions Place the milk, sugar, butter and yeast in the TM bowl for 2 minutes, 37°C, Speed 2. Add the flour, salt and egg. Knead the dough for 3 minutes. The dough should be smooth and come off the side of the bowl easily. Rest the dough for about 1 h in a bowl covered with a cloth. It should double in size. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1,5 cm in depth. With a glass, cut the donuts. (I made 9) Let the donuts rise on a baking shee for 40 minutes under a cloth. Heat the oven to 180°C. Brush each donut with milk. Bake for 9 minutes only. While they are cooling down, prepare a bowl with water and a plate with the white sugar. Dip each donut briefly in the water and roll them in the white sugar.
You can stuff them with jam, custard, chocolate spread. Best eaten warm! Enjoy!
The recipe can be made without a Thermomix. Use a food processor with a dough attachment.
Slightly warm the milk and the yeas first before proceeding with the recipe.
I stuffed some of the donuts with custard.
The custard recipe can't be easier:
500 gr milk
50 gr coconut blossom sugar
1 egg
30 gr cornflour
The scrap of half a vanilla pod
Place everything in the TM, Speed 3, 7 minutes, 90°C.
