Ingredients 130 gr soft butter, cut in cubes 15 ml rhum 3-4 apples 3 eggs 100 gr sugar 200 gr flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 pinch of salt
Instructions Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter a baking tin (diameter: 26-28 cm). Peel the apples, cut them in halves. Remove the cores and peeps. Then, with a sharp knife, slice the halves without cutting them through. Place all the ingredients except the apples in the Thermomix bowl, Speed 6, 20 seconds. The dough is very sticky, that's ok. Transfer the dough in the baking tin. Spread it with a palette knife. Place the halves of the apples in top of the dough. Bake during 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave it in the tin for 10 minutes before removing from the tin. Bon appétit !
This recipe can be made without a Thermomix. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
You can use more apples if you want. The recipe works well with pears too.
The rhum can be left out or replace it by vanilla seeds. The seeds of half a vanilla pod added to the dough gives the cake a lovely vanilla taste.
